in this unique time, we had to make the difficult decision to implement a virtual vbs. one of the staples of dawson kids kidlife is the beach ball song. each day in worship rally hundreds of beach balls (large and small) are dropped from the balcony for kids to keep in the air. it may seem silly but as we planned our virtual vbs, i wanted to use the beach ball as a bridge from on-campus vbs to their homes. so, we dreamed up beach ball devotions.
each child got a beach ball in their pick-up packet and others were encouraged to grab one before the month started. our digital vbs content was five days and each day contained the following categories: worship, learn, serve, create, pray, and respond. the beach ball devotions were part of the worship category each day.
