i discovered that today marks me being six months into my alabama journey. boy, time sure does fly when you are waist deep in adventure. so, in honor of my sixth month mark, i thought i would share six of my favorite sights so far.
note: just click the pics to see them larger. i know you b’ham folks see these delightful sights often, but they have been a blessing to my fresh eyes. enjoy!
within steps of my front door is lovely downtown edgewood.
a modern day mayberry i tell you!
these are the steps to the sanctuary at dawson as
the sun was setting one wednesday evening.
i make no secret of my love for vulcan. i have nearly wrecked several times in the past as i was driving through birmingham, just trying to get a view of him. now, i love within 5 minutes of vulcan park. 🙂
i am blessed with the cutest little house close to the church. it has taken some time, but the inside is really beginning to look like me and feel like home!
yes i know the pic is blurry, but this is my attempt at capturing the homewood star while driving through downtown homewood. (if you look really close you can see the vulcan in the far left.) i love this area.
autumn is my favorite season, and although i prefer the rain, i was blown away by the sun shining through this beautiful tree outside my office window. glory!
LOVE the pics around Homewood. I especially love the one of the sunrise on the steps of Dawson. I’d love for you to send me a copy! We are thankful you are here and so glad it is starting to feel like home. much love to you!!
